Faculty of Science and Health Global Postgraduate Taught Scholarship

The Faculty of Science and Health recognises the significant cost for international students to study overseas. To support the best and brightest students with their academic journey at the University of Portsmouth, we are pleased to announce the Faculty of Science and Health Global Postgraduate Taught Scholarship for 2025/26.

This scholarship will take the form of a £2000 fee reduction that will apply for the first year of study and can be combined with the VC Global Development Scholarship where terms and conditions allow.

The scholarship will be offered in two phases, once for the September and also for the January intake. The present advertised scholarship is for application into the January 2026 intakes.

This scholarship is for self-funded, international students wishing to study an on campus full time, postgraduate taught course within the Faculty of Science and Health.

• You must hold and have accepted an offer to study a postgraduate taught course within the Faculty of Science and Health at the University of Portsmouth.
• You must have achieved a 1st class honours undergraduate degree classification (or equivalent). If you have not completed your undergraduate studies, you must have evidence that you are predicted a 1st class honours undergraduate degree classification (or equivalent).
• You must be a self-funded student on a full-time, on campus postgraduate course for January 2026.
• International College Portsmouth (ICP) students are excluded from this scholarship.
• The scholarship is not available for students who have previously studied at the University of Portsmouth.
• If awarded, you cannot defer the scholarship.
• The scholarship will take the form of a £2,000 fee reduction, effective at the time of registration and will only apply to your first year of study.
