The Southampton Presidential bursaries are for international postgraduate researchers. The scholarship funds the difference between UK and international level tuition fees. These PhD bursaries are open to all international candidates demonstrating exceptional academic performance.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must have:
accepted a PhD offer and start your studies between 1 August 2026 and 31 January 2027
a first class undergraduate degree.
You do not need to make a separate application. If you meet the eligibility criteria, your Faculty will apply to the Doctoral College for the bursary for you.
