International Undergraduate Scholarship

Selection is on the basis of financial need.

This entrant scholarship is for students with an Overseas fee status who will be studying at St Andrews for an undergraduate degree beginning in 2026. The scholarship will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction for each year of the student's undergraduate studies and will be awarded based on financial need.

Applicants must meet two or more of the following criteria:

be able to demonstrate a case for financial need.

have previously received needs-based funding.

come from a neighbourhood which is classed as a socio-economically disadvantaged area.

have a physical, unseen or learning disability.

be part of a minority group.

Information received in the application will be taken into consideration as part of the overall review process, and none taken in isolation. This information will only be used for the purpose of scholarship assessment.

Your course and funding application are not linked. Applying for funding in no way impedes your course application decision.

Additional criteria

This scholarship is only available to students entering their first year of an undergraduate degree. This includes direct entry into year two of the course, but it does not include students transferring from another institution.

Applicants will be required to enter in their gross, annual household income in GBP, along with an exchange rate (if required). Please use the Financial Funding Tool to calculate your household income.
