The Ted Adams Trust supports undergraduate students with their studies at the University of Surrey by providing £12,000 (£4,000 per academic year for up to three years of study).
This scholarship is designed to support students studying specific courses, which are listed in the eligibility criteria below.
The number of scholarship awards available are at the donor's discretion and dependent upon the monies available, however typically 2-4 students are awarded a scholarship each academic year.
The terms of the scholarship listed above are at the discretion of the donor and may be subject to change before awarding.
To be considered for the Ted Adams Trust Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a Home/UK student
Be a mature student (21 years and over)
Be a first-year student studying one of the following degrees at the University of Surrey (please note that any students who will be in a Foundation Year during 2026/27 are not eligible):
- Nursing Studies (Registered Nurse Mental Health Nursing) BSc (Hons)
- Nursing Studies (Registered Nurse Adult Nursing) BSc (Hons)
- Nursing Studies (Registered Nurse Children and Young People Nursing) BSc (Hons)
- Midwifery (Registered Midwife) BSc (Hons)
Have been living in Guildford and surrounding areas (postcodes GU1, GU2, GU3, GU4, GU5, GU6, GU7, GU8, GU26, GU27, parts of GU23, KT24 closest to Guildford) for at least three years.
Preference will be given to applicants living closest to Guildford and that have experience in the area of nursing or midwifery through working or volunteering.
