Eligibility & selection criteria

• International graduate students registered full-time in a master's or doctoral program in Chemical Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering, or Systems Design Engineering
• Candidates must be in good academic standing
• Normally be in term 4.0 or beyond of their academic program
• Show evidence of the extenuating circumstances that have occurred since their time of admission students with extenuating circumstances who are beyond the term limits of their program may also be considered
• Demonstrate financial shortfall through the completion of a Graduate Student Contingency Bursary application
• Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) will automatically consider students based on their application for the Graduate Student Contingency Bursary
• Receipt of this bursary will count towards the maximum number of Graduate Student Contingency Bursaries a student may receive in their program (e.g., one time at the master's level twice at the doctoral level).
