Buitrago Opportunity Graduate Scholarship in Engineering

Value description:

One scholarship, valued at up to $50,000, will be provided to graduate students who will be registered full time in a course-based or research-based master's program in the Faculty of Engineering. The award will be paid in equal installments over the standard program length for their respective master's degree as long as they remain registered full-time. Selection will be based on academic excellence (minimum cumulative average of 75% or equivalent in their current or most recently completed program).

Eligibility & selection criteria:

Full-time graduate student who will be registered in a research-based master's program in the Faculty of Engineering.
Minimum cumulative average of 75% or equivalent in their current or most recently completed program.
The scholarship will be awarded taking into consideration the following (in order of preference if a suitable candidate cannot be found):

Student who received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Industrial University of Santander, Colombia
Student who received a degree in any Engineering program from the Industrial University of Santander, Colombia
Student who received a degree in any Engineering program from any university in Colombia.

The Faculty of Engineering will identify and select a candidate based on their application for admission.
Should an eligible candidate not be found, available funds will be held to be given out in a future year.
The scholarship will be paid in equal instalments each term.
This award can be held in conjunction with any other major awards.

Selection process:
Student selected automatically by Faculty/Department
