The Award recipient is selected by the middle of April (at the very latest) among graduate students who completed the Certificate in University Teaching program in the previous three terms (based on the fiscal year ending in April). The award recipient must either be actively registered in a graduate degree program or have graduated during the same fiscal year (May 1- April 30) as the year of eligibility.
The following criteria are used to select the recipient of the CUT award:
- evidence of continuous improvement and growth as a university teacher during participation in the program (e.g., incorporating feedback received during first teaching observation into the second teaching observation)
- evidence of critical reflection on teaching practice (e.g., thoughtful teaching dossier supported by relevant evidence)
