Samit & Reshma Sharma Graduate Scholarship in Optometry and Vision Science

Eligibility & selection criteria:

• Full-time graduate students registered in the master's or doctoral program in the School of Optometry and Vision Science in the Faculty of Science.
• Selection to be based on academic excellence (minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent over the last two academic terms) and demonstrated interest in advancing vision science (for example: volunteer activities, student leadership, national/international competitions/presentation, highly cited papers, etc.).
• Consideration will be given to students who are conducting research that advances optometric care through new innovative treatments, techniques, and models and/or further our understanding of eye and vision care through clinical, biomedical and/or imaging research.
• Application is not required.
• This scholarship will be awarded in addition to any minimum funding the student may be offered or already receiving.
• The Graduate Studies Office in the School of Optometry and Vision Science will identify candidates and select recipients annually in the winter term.
