GREAT Scholarship

Applicants will be assessed based on a written application and prior academic merit. Strong preference will be given to applicants with the strongest academic record (for example, a UK first class degree or equivalent).

Please note that applicants must be permanent residents and passport holders of China, Indonesia, Malaysia or Kenya.

Eligibility

Open to students from China, Indonesia, Kenya and Malaysia.

To be considered for the scholarship, you must

• be a permanent resident and passport holder of China, Indonesia, Malaysia or Kenya
• be paying fees at the overseas fee rate (any fee assessments must be completed)
• have met any language condition of your offer
• have a conditional or unconditional offer to study a one-year postgraduate taught course at the University of York (you don't need to have accepted the offer).

You will not be eligible if

• you hold a 100% tuition fee scholarship or are fully sponsored
• you are a current student of the University of York, having started your studies in a previous year

Students on the following pathways are not eligible for these scholarships

• Hull York Medical School
• International Pathway College
• Distance/online learning courses
• Part-time courses
• Kaplan International College London
• MA Public Policy (Mundus MAPP)
• CASPPER
• Masters courses lasting longer than one year
• Partnership and exchange students (including visiting students)
