Higher Education Scholarships for Palestinians (HESPAL)

HESPAL is dedicated to supporting young Palestinian academics with the aim to support the Palestinian higher education sector by building the capacity of its academic staff and addressing its needs and priorities.

They are offering one fully funded scholarship (including tuition fees and living expenses) to study a Masters programme at the University of York.

Eligibility

Open to students from Gaza only.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

Be a resident of the Gaza Strip

Be currently employed by one of the Palestinian partners universities

Be nominated by your employer Palestinian university

Have a written commitment to return to work for your Palestinian university after the completion of your studies, for a duration agreed upon with your university

Have a valid English language IELTS certificate with an appropriate grade for your selected course of study – other certified English exams might be accepted
