You must also provide a 200 word statement about the usefulness of the scholarship in order to achieve your goals. After submitting your Masters application, please email your 200 word statement.

Open to International (including EU) and International (non-EU) students.

In order to be eligible you must also have an offer for a place on one of the following courses:

• Social Research (MA)
• Social Media and Social Research (MA)
• Social Media and Interactive Technologies
• Social Media and Management (MSc)
• Global Culture and Society (MA)
• Women's and Gender Studies (MA)
• Women, Violence and Conflict (MA)

You must:

• apply for a place on a full-time Masters course with the Department of Sociology
• begin your Masters studies in September 2026 (it is not possible to defer a scholarship offer)
• have or expect to obtain a first or upper second-class honours degree or equivalent prior to commencing the Masters programme.
