English is the language of instruction and examination at Sask Polytech. If a student's first or primary language is not English and/or their country is not exempt, they will need to provide evidence of their English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. These skills are required to be successful in a Sask Polytech program.

Sask Polytech supports students as they build their English language skills and prepare for academic success and life in Canada. Applicants who are still completing their English language requirements may be eligible for conditional acceptance or conditional waitlisting if they provide proof of registration in an English language program, including the expected completion date.

Transfer credit can help students save time and avoid repeating coursework that aligns with their Sask Polytech program requirements. Students may be eligible to transfer credit to Sask Polytech or to another college or university.

To be considered for transfer credit, previously completed courses must closely match the content and learning outcomes of courses offered at Sask Polytech. Students with previous education from international institutions must complete the required international document assessment process to verify their credentials.

Transfer agree with other colleges and universities can also create pathways for students who wish to continue their education after completing a Sask Polytech credential. Eligible students may be able to use their qualifications as a stepping stone towards further study, helping them continue to expand their career opportunities.

There is no cost to request a transfer credit assessment. Students are encouraged to submit their request as early as possible after being admitted to a program and before their studies begin.

Sask Polytech provides paid, practical and relevant co-operative education opportunities in some programs. It's a win-win-win partnership between students, Sask Polytech and employers, with each benefitting in various ways.

Through co-operative education placements, students apply classroom learning in real-world workplace settings while gaining valuable experience, building industry connections and exploring potential career paths that they otherwise may not have been aware of. These opportunities also help students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed after graduation, as they become more comfortable working within their chosen sector even while they are studying.

Co-op Ed opportunities allow students to earn income while studying in Canada and gain a deeper understanding of their chosen field. Students are encouraged to take an active role in exploring available opportunities and finding a placement that aligns with their goals, especially as these opportunities are valuable additions to a student's future resume when they look to continue their career upon graduation.

International students can explore available programs, review admission requirements and follow the steps to apply to Sask Polytech.

Program bundles are available exclusively to international applicants. These bundles or program packages combine one-year certificates to make for a two-year term of study. This provides Sask Polytech international students with more options to obtain a post-graduate work permit (PGWP). This option allows students to secure their seat and receive acceptance into both programs at the same time. The bundle option is only available at the time of application.
