What is Early Clearing?

UCAS Early Clearing (02 July – 28 July 2026) allows eligible students to secure university places before the main Clearing period begins following A-Level results.

• Students who currently hold no university offers

Who Can Apply Through Clearing?

You may be eligible if:

• You currently have no offers from universities.
• You have declined all your offers and wish to explore new options.
• Your firm and insurance choices did not confirm your place.
• You submitted your UCAS application after the standard deadline.
• You exceeded your expected grades and wish to explore alternative opportunities.
• You have not yet applied through UCAS during the current admission cycle.

If you already have an offer but are no longer interested in pursuing it, Clearing may provide alternative options subject to eligibility. Students should ideally have their final grades available or be expecting their results shortly.
