Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biology

Two B.Sc. Biology programs are offered, an honours and a major program. For either program the student must select one of two concentrations; health sciences or biodiversity and ecology. Both B.Sc. programs provide the student with a strong grounding in the core sciences (math, physics, and chemistry) and a broad foundation in biology. The honours program, in addition, provides the student with the opportunity to complete their own research project. Students graduating with a B.Sc. in Biology are well prepared to enter graduate studies (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) or professional schools (e.g. medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy or veterinary medicine).
