Preparatory School ( Years 3 - 6 )

Bromsgrove Preparatory School offers an exceptional all round co-educational experience for children aged 7 to 13, set within a 100 acre campus with a balance of boys and girls, day and boarding, offering families a real choice. At Bromsgrove we are passionate about education. We believe that the right education creates a life-long love of learning and prepares children to take their place in the world as responsible, caring adults with good manners, self discipline, honesty and consideration for others. Academically, we combine high class modern teaching methods without forgetting the best of traditional values to create a climate where every child can flourish, and find where their particular talents lie.We aim to nurture and challenge our children; we recognise that children need to be guided but also given the freedom to think for themselves and to develop a true sense of self. Individual achievements, and the importance of team efforts, are both highly valued. Within that ethos, we also recognise that a healthy mental life and emotional wellbeing is key to developing pupils’ health and happiness in all aspects of their present and future lives. Our school pastoral system has pupil’s social, emotional, and mental health at the heart of our actions. All pupils are encouraged to achieve their best in academic, sporting and creative fields, while at the same time developing their social skills; manners, a respect for each other and those around them, kindness, helpfulness and a willingness to participate for the benefit of others. The Preparatory School’s beautiful grounds offer the perfect backdrop for outstanding sports provision and play. We are proud of our excellent sporting reputation, achieved through strong coaching at all levels, and a commitment to provide all children with the opportunities to discover and develop their sporting skills.
