B.S. degree in Geology or its equivalent, or a B.S. degree in a related field such as Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering. Students who do not have appropriate Geology and/or supporting coursework may be conditionally admitted to the program, but they will be required to complete any deficient coursework without graduate credit during their first year of residence.
University requirements for admission, with the exception that the GPA in the last 60 units must be at or above 2.75. Those applicants with a GPA in the last 60 units of between 2.5 and 2.75 may still be admitted if the Geology GPA or major GPA in the last 60 units is at or above 3.0.
For B.S. Geology degree holders: undergraduate Geology GPA must be at or above 3.0. For B.S. degree holders in a related field: Major GPA must be at or above 3.0.

TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language: Internet Based score: 79; Paper-based score: 550
iTEP Academic - International Test of English Proficiency: 4.0
DET – Duolingo English Test: 105
