The Certificate II in EAL (Access) is designed to help you build a strong foundation in everyday English. Whether you're new to learning English or want to feel more confident in daily conversations, this course focuses on developing your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills for real-world communication and community participation. Throughout the course, you’ll learn to understand and respond to simple texts in different formats, such as informational materials and instructions. You’ll also practise writing clearly using basic sentence structures and learn the common conventions of written English. The course will help you improve your ability to take part in simple conversations, using appropriate vocabulary and grammatical structures suited to different situations. In addition, you’ll explore how tone of voice, body language, and other non-verbal cues can help support your communication. By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident using English in everyday life, and you’ll be ready to continue into further English language study, vocational training, or even take steps toward employment.
