Master of Science in Anesthesia

This two-year program prepares students for careers as certified anesthesiologist assistants. CAAs are highly skilled allied health professionals who work under the direction of licensed anesthesiologists to implement care plans and who are integral members of the anesthesia care team. This is a growing field with high demand for our graduates. Our graduate program immerses students in didactic instruction, simulation and hands-on clinical training over the course of two years. The mission of the Master of Science in Anesthesia program is to graduate skilled and compassionate anesthesiologist assistants. The admission policy reflects this goal. Applicants are considered on a variety of parameters that measure academic ability, communication skills, clinical aptitude, and personality traits.

Applicants for admission must complete a course of study leading to a baccalaureate degree at an accredited United States, U.S. territory, or Canadian college or university, or its equivalent, prior to matriculation
