High School Preparation Programme

Our high-school programme provides a high-quality, direct entry into Education Queensland International (EQI) schools, in addition to dozens of award-winning catholic & independent Queensland secondary schools. The intensive Charlton Brown High School Preparation classes consist of 25 hours of face-to-face instruction per week. Attention is given to developing all Macro-Skills (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking) as students participate in theme-based study. Students will learn about Australian culture and school culture. Teachers will also equip students with the language skills they need to participate and succeed in the mainstream classroom, and students will also receive instruction in Math, Science, computer technology – in addition to skills for developing learner autonomy.

Students will have opportunity to write academic papers, give spoken presentations, participate in class activities and access our online learning resources. The continuous assessment of students’ learning will provide students with the feedback they need to be on track to enter the mainstream classroom at their expected date of entry.
