Master of Public Policy/Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership

A combined educational leadership and public policy program is available in which the student may obtain both an Ed.D. and a M.P.P. degree in five years, instead of the six years that would be required if each were pursued separately. Candidates interested in this combined degree program must apply to and gain acceptance by both the Graduate School of Education and W&M Public Policy. Admitted graduate students whose first language is not English are required to take an English language proficiency test when they arrive on campus. This requirement includes those international students who have taken the TOEFL exam, taken the IELTS exam, or requested and received a waiver as a consequence of having earned a degree from a college or university in which English is the primary language of instruction.
