Bachelor of Commerce (Management and Human Resource Management)

The demand for HRM professionals is rising, with a projected 15 percent growth in HR roles over the next decade. Human Resource Management (HRM) focuses on achieving the best outcomes for organisations and their employees by supporting wellbeing, performance and job satisfaction. In this major, you’ll gain skills in recruitment and selection, remuneration, performance management, training and development, employment relations, conflict management and HR analytics. You’ll also develop emotional intelligence, critical thinking and adaptability. Learning is practical and industry-connected, with opportunities for real-life projects, internships and international study tours. The management component equips you to lead people, manage resources and respond to organisational challenges. Management knowledge is essential across SMEs, non-profits, large corporations and government sectors, where managers supervise and mentor staff, balance budgets and ensure projects are completed effectively while considering values, ethics and sustainability. A combination of HRM and Management equips you with a versatile, future-ready skill set suited to roles that develop people, shape workplace culture and drive organisational performance. Whether you pursue a career in HR, general management or related business fields, you’ll be well positioned to thrive in local businesses, multinational enterprises, government agencies and non-government organisations.
