Year 11 – GCSE/IGCSE (2nd year)

The International School students benefit from a choice of five academic programmes. Rooted in the English National Curriculum, each option combines outstanding teaching with exceptional learning experiences, setting them up for success in their IGCSE course exams. The academic team at d’Overbroeck’s IGCSE school in Oxford has carefully designed our five International School programmes to meet the differing needs of our students. This ensures every child achieves exceptional personal and academic outcomes.

Alongside a traditional two-year IGCSE curriculum, we offer four flexible options: the one-year IGCSE programme, 4- or 5-term IGCSE curriculum, UK Study Abroad, and The Discovery Years. Each programme embraces individual strengths and ambitions, and develops the skills our students need to flourish in the future. At the same time, our programmes inspire and empower our learners to achieve top results in their IGCSE subject exams.

Flexibility is at the heart of each pathway. This ensures high-performing students are stretched, challenged, and supported at the right level. It also means we can tailor learning to the individual – for example, if a student plans to return to their home country’s education system after studying for their IGCSEs at d’Overbroeck’s, Oxford.
