In addition, the Management Major with a Human Resources Concentration prepares students for various HR roles that could lead to a career as an HR Professional. While pursuing this degree, students are encouraged to participate in one of our national, award-winning clubs, such as the Society for Human Resource Management (EMU SHRM) or the CEO (Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization) club. There are also many paid internship opportunities available, especially in HR. Many graduates with a Management major begin as management trainees or assistant managers, with advancement opportunities leading to higher management positions. Advancement in management is often much quicker than in more technical fields.
