Bachelor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences (Honours)

Turn your technical skills into research expertise. This one-year Honours program lets you specialise in computing, IT, data science or mathematics while building the advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities that employers and research institutes look for. Whether you're coming from an existing Flinders computing, IT or maths degree, the Pathway to Honours program, or from an another university, you'll dive deeper into computing and mathematics through advanced coursework and a hands-on research project. You’ll learn how to plan, execute and communicate a major research thesis while mastering data-driven thinking, coding, modelling and experimentation.
With close supervision and real-world applications, your Honours year will prepare you for the next step - whether that’s a PhD, a career in R&D, or a leadership role in industry.

Admission to the one-year Honours program is highly competitive.

If you have demonstrated academic excellence with a Grade Point Average of 5 or higher during your bachelor’s degree, your application may be considered for the program.
