Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) is a public, historically Black, doctoral research university located in Tallahassee, Florida. Founded on October 3, 1887, FAMU is one of the oldest historically Black colleges and universities in the United States and serves as Florida’s 1890 land-grant institution. The university offers a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and professional programs in fields such as agriculture, business, education, engineering, law, pharmacy, public health, nursing, architecture, journalism, and the sciences.
