Florida Tech has a variety of programs spread across four distinct colleges, each with a strong academic focus.
Florida Tech's largest college, the College of Engineering and Science, offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs in the various areas of applied science, computing and cybersecurity, education, engineering, mathematics, AI, the sciences and technology. Students at all levels collaborate with expert faculty on research, contracts and projects of international significance.
Recognized as one of the top university-based aviation programs in the nation, the College of Aeronautics has earned an international reputation for excellence in educating and preparing aviation professionals. Florida Tech's Melbourne campus offers both flight and non-flight programs designed to prepare students for careers across the aviation industry.
The College of Psychology and Liberal Arts offers bachelor's degrees in various subjects including applied behavior analysis, animal behavior and cognition, forensic psychology, humanities, multiplatform journalism, psychology and strategic communication, as well as master's degrees in applied behavior analysis, global strategic communication, industrial/organizational psychology, organizational behavior management and organizational leadership, among others.
The Bisk College of Business provides a strong foundation to prepare students for careers of the future. It covers essential business disciplines and engages students in the practical application of business, requiring them to think critically about modern business issues. Graduates emerge well prepared to manage innovation and change, start and lead businesses, and effectively respond to global business challenges.
All international students should keep in mind their country's visa appointment wait times and should submit their applications at least two weeks prior to the I-20 deadline for the semester for which they are applying.
Undergraduate students are admitted directly to their major and start in their major classes right away. When evaluating undergraduate applications, the Office of Admission carefully considers applicants' readiness for their program of study. International students must submit the following documents to be considered for admission:
International applicants are not required to provide standardized test (SAT or ACT) scores. English proficiency is not required for an admission decision but is needed before the issuance of immigration documents (an I-20).
Students must hold a bachelor's degree in a related field if they wish to enroll in a master's degree program at Florida Tech. Applicants must also have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 as an undergraduate to be considered for admission to a master's degree program at Florida Tech. Students can review the graduate admission requirements for details.
Over 40 campus venues are available at Florida Tech, and the institution has many notable facilities, including auditoriums, conference rooms, classrooms, lecture halls, computer labs, banquet facilities, athletic spaces, a 500-seat performing arts center, large and small chapels, a botanical garden and outdoor green spaces.
The Clemente Center is a 62,000-square-foot facility housing the varsity gym, intramural gym, weight room, group fitness room, racquetball court and healthy cafe/eatery.
Esports is located at the Ruth Funk Center, a 5,800-square-foot furnished gaming facility for competitive, club and casual use.
The Gleason Performing Arts Center is a theater-style, multi-use facility surrounded by a botanical garden and used for all varieties of professional and community productions, as well as large-scale meetings, lectures and video conferencing.
The Panthereum is an outdoor amphitheater ideal for concerts and other performances, with a small stage looking out over a green, open lawn.
Florida Tech offers 29 residential facilities, with residence halls and apartment communities providing a variety of amenities, including cable and HD channels, telephone and voicemail service, laundry facilities, Ethernet connections and wireless internet. In August 2026, the university opened its newest on-campus housing complex, Crimson Crossing, a modern six-story, 556-bed living-learning community.
Florida Tech offers partial academic merit scholarships that go up to $12,500 annually to international undergraduate students. Any student who applies is automatically considered for scholarships and will be notified of their scholarship award upon admission. Florida Tech does not offer need-based financial aid or full tuition scholarships to international students. Merit scholarships require recipients to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 at Florida Tech for annual renewal.
Florida Tech does not offer scholarships to graduate students. Graduate Student Assistantships (GSAs) are available in a minimal capacity and are offered at the department's discretion. GSA funding is strictly determined and approved by the specific department. Before applying for a GSA position, students must contact the department to secure an advisor.
Florida Tech athletic scholarships (NCAA Division II) are awarded by individual coaches via the Athletics Department.
Children of Florida Tech alumni enrolling in full-time undergraduate programs are eligible for a USD 2,500 grant, renewable for up to four years and given in addition to any other merit scholarships.

In August 2026, Florida Tech officially opened Crimson Crossing, the university's new six-story, 556-bed housing complex. The 212,237-square-foot building, with its distinctive design and eye-catching façade, creates a new residential gateway to Florida Tech's campus and reflects the university's continued investment in providing an exceptional student experience.
The need for more student housing is fueled by Florida Tech's growing student body. Traditional and online student enrollment has increased more than 27% since 2019, reaching over 10,000 students in fall 2025. During that same timeframe, first-time-in-college students have jumped over 43%, and the fall-to-fall retention rate increased from 74.3% in 2022 to 83.3% in 2025.
