Graduate Pathway in Earth Systems Science

Students who successfully complete an INTO Mason Graduate Pathway program in Earth Systems Science are assured progression to a Mason graduate degree program upon submission of additional required application materials.

Upon successful completion of an INTO Mason Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, you may enter your second semester of graduate study at George Mason University. This transition from an INTO Mason Pathway program to a university degree program is called 'progression'.

Age requirements: 17 years and above

1-Semester

English language requirements: TOEFL iBT 80 (17 all subscores), IELTS 6.5 (6.0 all subscores), PTEA 59, Duolingo 110, TOEFL Essentials 8.5 (8.0 all subscores), or Completion of AE Core and OCS Level 6.

Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent in earth systems or science, geography, geology, astronomy, meteorology, computer and information systems, forestry cultivation, forest engineering, petroleum and gas engineering, zoology. 2.75 undergraduate GPA equivalent.

2-Semester

English language requirements: TOEFL iBT 70 (15 all subscores), IELTS 6.0 (5.5 all subscores), PTEA 52, Duolingo 100, TOEFL Essentials 7.5 (7.0 all subscores), or Completion of AE Core and OCS Level 5.

Academic requirements: Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent in earth systems or science, geography, geology, astronomy, meteorology, computer and information systems, forestry cultivation, forest engineering, petroleum and gas engineering, zoology. 2.75 undergraduate GPA equivalent.
