Master of Architecture

The Master of Architecture Program at Georgia Tech provides students with a professional degree leading to a career in architecture or a related field. Our program foregrounds design and research through a curricular structure that integrates history, theory, technology and practice with design studios. Students benefit from strong connections to the School's internationally recognized Ph.D. Program and the resources of one of the world's premier technological universities. Our students have the opportunity to pursue their interests in a range of topics including sustainability, urbanism, materials and building systems, digital design & fabrication, high performance buildings and design & health, among others. Acknowledging the transformative changes occurring in the profession of architecture, our program anticipates what practice will be in the near future and prepares our graduates to be in front of, and leaders of these changes. A 3 -year track is designed for students who hold an undergraduate degree in a field other than architecture.

Students with a degree other than architecture enter into our 3.5 year track and students with a pre-professional architecture degree enter into our 2 year track.

We actively recruit and accept graduate students with diverse degrees including humanities, engineering, business, and social and natural sciences for 3.5 year track.

The minimum score for graduate admission required by Georgia Tech is: IELTS: 7.0 Overall Band score and minimum Component Band scores of: 6.5 Reading, 6.5 Listening, 6.5 Speaking, 5.5 Writing, 577 (paper based), or 90 (Internet based) and minimum section scores of 19

The TOEFL is the only acceptable language test for admission to Georgia Tech. A score of 90 is required by Georgia Institute of Technology, with a minimum section score of 19 in each section of the test, however, the School of Architecture only accepts TOEFL scores near 100 for all foreign applicants.

The deadline for applications is December 31st for all applicants for the following fall semester.
