Course info

The Pre-Sessional English for Creative Disciplines course is designed for international students who have an offer to study at the GSA, but who need to improve their English to the level required by their chosen undergraduate or postgraduate programme.

This intensive course focuses on the language and study skills you need to study a creative subject. Instead of exam preparation or vocabulary practice, you will practise English through creative tasks, projects, and assessments that reflect the way we teach at The Glasgow School of Art. This approach helps you to improve your English and also to prepare for your main programme at the GSA.

This course will help you to:

Develop your academic English in practical situations
Understand how creative disciplines work at GSA
Increase your confidence as a creative practitioner
Build skills that support lifelong language learning
