Graduate Certificate in Research Methods

In a period when society and business have sought answers to unprecedented and rapidly escalating challenges, fundamental and applied research has provided answers. As a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous future evolves, research skills will be ever more crucial in enabling society and business to innovate in response to political, economic, societal, technological and ecological change. In this context, HELI is proud to offer its newly accredited Graduate Certificate in Research Methods.

The Graduate Certificate of Research has been accredited by TEQSA. This course is specifically designed to develop the skills needed to design research in educational and professional settings in response to these challenging times. This course is offered face-to-face at HELI’s Melbourne Campus (for all International Students) and online (available for Domestic students only).

The following academic admission criteria apply to all applicants to courses at HELI that lead to the award of a Graduate Certificate qualification (AQF Level 8). Additional English language requirements for international students are provided in tab below.

Admission will be granted to applicants who meet any ONE of the following criteria:

Successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree (AQF 7) or higher from a recognised institution; OR

Successfully completed a 3-year Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma (AQF 6) with a credit average (or equivalent); OR

Successfully completed a 2-year Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma (AQF 6) with a credit average (or equivalent) and one year full-time relevant professional work experience; OR

Successfully completed a Diploma (AQF 5) plus two years full-time relevant professional work experience; OR

Completed a recognised postgraduate preparation program; OR

Three years of full-time managerial/professional work experience in a related field; OR

• Five years of full-time general work experience in a related field.
