Delivered in partnership with the St Kilda Football Club, the course provides strong industry engagement and internship opportunities. Graduates gain an industry-ready skill set suited to roles across sports journalism, broadcasting, digital media and social platforms, supported by valuable real-world experience and professional networks. Based at our Bourke Street Melbourne and Glen Waverley campuses, the Bachelor of Sports Media develops practical and creative skills for today’s fast-moving sports and digital media industry. Delivered in partnership with the St Kilda Football Club, students combine industry-relevant theory with hands-on learning in sports journalism, broadcasting, media production, and digital content creation, supported by industry engagement and internship opportunities. Students have access to industry-standard media facilities at the Glen Waverley campuses, including a dedicated television studio, radio studios, podcast room, editing suites, production control room, and high-specification computer laboratories that support practical and collaborative learning experiences. Digital course delivery is supported through Holmesglen’s Brightspace learning management system, providing access to lecture and tutorial materials, assessments, collaboration tools, discussion forums, e-portfolios, and digital learning activities. Students also have access to library services, digital learning resources, Webex collaboration tools, and online learning platforms that support digital literacy development and professional communication skills relevant to contemporary sports media workplaces.
