Year 1

At ISWA, our Early Years programme, encompassing Kindergarten to Year 2, lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Guided by the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Australian Early Years Learning Framework, we nurture young learners through inquiry, play, and meaningful relationships.

These natural settings promote independence, creativity, and collaboration, while helping children develop a meaningful connection to their surroundings and community.

From the very beginning, students are introduced to the PYP’s transdisciplinary model, empowering them to investigate big ideas through their own questions and interests. This early exposure builds confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of agency.
