Keiser’s women’s health NP program focuses on quality healthcare, including a woman’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs throughout the lifespan as well as the needs of those disadvantaged by gender or sexual health inequalities. It’s designed to prepare gyno nurses and other nursing professionals to take on advanced practice roles in women’s health. Coursework explores gynecologic care, pregnancy risk management, family planning, STI diagnosis and treatments, and primary care for women.
This program is aligned with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) guidelines as prescribed in the Essentials of Master Education in Nursing (AACN 2011) and with the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) Population Focused Nurse Practitioner Competencies (NONPF 2013).
