Sixth Form life at Kingswood revolves around the much loved Dixon Sixth Form Centre. The Dixon serves as the heart of Sixth Form life, offering a dedicated space for academic study, social interaction and preparation for life beyond school.
The Sixth Form curriculum at Kingswood serves as a launch pad to the world of university study, apprenticeships, and the opportunities that lie beyond. We want students to embrace the depth of study afforded by A Levels whilst also allowing them to benefit from the breadth offered by our Advanced Elective courses and the wide range of supra- and co-curricular opportunities available.
Core Curriculum:
Following on from the broad experience of GCSEs, students choose three subjects in which to specialise in at A Level (four subjects for Further Mathematicians) and two Advanced Elective courses which they pursue over the first two terms of Year 12. The provision at Kingswood is flexible and we design the timetable around the courses chosen by our students, so we are able to accommodate most subject combinations.
The school offer 23 A Level courses as well as BTEC Sport (two A Level equivalent). It also offer the the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) in addition to the Core curriculum.

Life Skills subject further develops the themes and topics taught during PHSE lessons in younger years. Life Skills lessons aim to prepare students for life beyond Kingswood, teaching practical skills including budgeting, understanding university finances and living independently, in addition to core elements like RSE (Relationships & Sex Education), Citizenship and careers support and advice.
