You’ll learn how to improve the lives of young children with our expert guidance and research-led teaching.Over your three-year course you’ll develop as a skilled and confident primary teacher, committed to the needs of each child you meet. On the 3-7 pathway you’ll specialise in teaching children within the Early Years and Key Stage 1. On the 5-11 pathway, your focus will be on teaching children in Key Stage 1 and 2 within primary schools. We’ll build your confidence to teach across all National Curriculum subjects, and the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) on the 3-7 pathway. Your course is delivered through a number of modules, which will help you to plan your time and establish a study routine. Outside of your lectures, workshops and tutorials, a range of support is available to assist with your independent study. Our subject-specific librarians will be on hand to direct you to the specialist learning and study-skill resources. You’ll also be assigned an academic advisor to give you tailored feedback and support.Career ProspectsYou’ll have achieved qualified teacher status and will be able to teach pupils across the 3-11 age range on completion of this course.
