Three factors determine the success of a student's education at university: the drive of the student, the quality of the teaching staff, and the facilities in which a student can learn. At LSBU, all are given equal weighting, with students benefiting from outstanding classrooms, workshops, laboratories and other learning spaces.

Students will use cutting-edge software and technology of the same professional standard as they will in their future careers. This smooths the transition from university life to future work, allowing them to seamlessly move into their industry with confidence in their understanding and ability. The university's learning resource centre (LRC) is where students can make use of extensive IT facilities, including over 400 workstations (including both PC and Mac) and the opportunity to loan laptops.

There are four halls of residence at the university, all of which have internet access. They are also all within easy reach of the campus learning facilities, so students can safely navigate the university when working late.

Student safety

London South Bank University has three campus locations, which are all extremely safe places to live and study close to the centre of one of the world's most prominent capital cities,.

London is a city with comparatively low crime compared to many other capitals around the world, but the university is never complacent on matters of student safety. It works hard to ensure that all students can relax and enjoy a productive academic program and social life while enrolled at LSBU.

The university employs its own security team who are there to maintain the safety of all staff and students on campus, 24/7. They are available to help students in need and can provide advice and guidance on the best practices to remain safe while on campus, as well as taking charge in any rare emergency situations. Students always feel secure and comfortable thanks to the work of the team and the rest of the university's staff.
