Applicants are typically expected to achieve ABB at A level, including Maths and one of Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Design & Technology. For the International Baccalaureate (IB), applicants should achieve 34 points (6,5,5 at Higher Level), including HL Maths and one of Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Design & Technology at HL. For BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma, applicants should achieve DDM in a relevant subject plus A level Maths at grade B; for the BTEC Level 3 National Diploma, DD plus A level Maths at grade B; and for the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate, D plus A levels at grades AB, including Maths and one of Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Design & Technology. Preferred BTEC subjects include Aeronautical, Engineering, Mechanical or Manufacturing. Applicants should also have GCSE English Language at grade 4/C. Under the Access Loughborough Contextual Offer, applicants may be considered with BBC at A level, including grade B in Maths and grade B in one of Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Design & Technology. Applicants combining A levels with a BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate should achieve AB, including Maths and one of the specified subjects, together with Higher-level qualifications at a majority of A and B grades.
