Applicants are typically expected to achieve ABB at A level, including at least one of the following subjects: English (Literature, Language, or both), any Language subject, Geography, History, Classical Civilisation, Law, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, Religious Studies or Sociology. For the International Baccalaureate (IB), applicants should achieve 32 points (6,5,5 at Higher Level), including at least one of the specified subjects at HL: English (Literature, Language or both), any Language subject, Geography, History, Philosophy, Global Politics, Psychology, World Religions, or Social and Cultural Anthropology. For BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma, applicants should achieve DDM plus an A level at grade B in a required subject; for the BTEC Level 3 National Diploma, DD plus one A level at grade B in a required subject; and for the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate, D plus two A levels at grades BB, including one required subject. Preferred BTEC subjects include Performing Arts, Art & Design, Digital Film and Video Production, Business IT, Applied Science, Sport, Sport and Exercise Science, and Health & Social Care. Applicants should also have GCSE English Language at grade 4/C. Under the Access Loughborough Contextual Offer, applicants may be considered with BBC at A level, including at least one of the specified required subjects. Applicants combining A levels with a BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate should achieve BB, including one required A level, and Merit in the BTEC qualification.
