Applicants should have, or expect to achieve, at least a 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in a related degree. An ideal candidate should also have a good understanding of computer networks, wireless and mobile communications, edge computing and internet of things (IoT), including the knowledge of communication protocols. The candidate must know the basic principles of SDN and NFV, as well as AI methods. Good knowledge of mathematical optimization, including non-convex/stochastic optimization and mixed-integer programming, is required. The knowledge of game-theoretical methods is desired (but not necessary).
