Master of Criminology and Master of Strategy and Security

The Master of Criminology will equip you with the critical insight and applied expertise needed to respond ethically and effectively to contemporary crime and justice challenges. Its interdisciplinary curriculum will encourage you to question assumptions about crime, and provide you with the tools to evaluate justice through the lenses of power, inequality and environmental security. You’ll engage with cutting-edge issues, such as the impact of technology and AI on policing, and consider how Indigenous knowledge and ecological thinking can inform justice responses. Drawing on advanced criminology theory – and from fields such as sociology, psychology, psychiatry and social anthropology – you’ll graduate ready to influence reform, contribute to justice and lead future innovation in criminology.
The Master of Strategy and Security will equip you with the capabilities to address the most pressing security challenges confronting your nation or organisation. Bringing together world-class academics with leading government and industry professionals, the interdisciplinary degree offers an exciting and dynamic learning environment. Furthermore, with its blend of high-level conceptual thinking and practical, industry-driven problem solving – and three globally relevant specialisations – it provides flexibility to shape your studies around your career goals and a strong entry point into the security industry.
