Bachelors of Science in Physics/Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering

The College's Dual-Degree program in Science and Engineering with the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, formerly known as Polytechnic School of Engineering, has offered highly qualified and motivated students who are technically oriented the opportunity to pursue both a liberal arts program with a major in science and a traditional engineering program. The program is ideal for the student interested in science and engineering who is also eager for a liberal arts experience before entering an undergraduate engineering environment. Upon completion of this five-year program, students receive both a B.S. degree from the College of Arts and Science and a B.S. degree from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Students with this combination of degrees are likely to find excellent employment opportunities.Students in the program complete all of the College Core Curriculum requirements, with the exception of the foreign language requirement, from which they are excused. (Their required mathematics and science courses automatically satisfy the Core's Foundations of Scientific Inquiry requirements.) There is usually some flexibility concerning the semester in which a given course can be taken, and students with Advanced Placement credit may be able to lighten some of their semester course loads andor have room for more electives.

If you will have completed your country’s pre-university education (equivalent to U.S. 12th Grade) before arriving to NYU, or if any of the following apply to you, you are eligible to apply to NYU as a first-year applicant:You are completing an internationally-recognized equivalent, such as the IB Diploma; orYou are applying from countries with school leaving qualifications based on the British educational model, and will have completed the A-level equivalent (neither O-levels nor (I)GCSE results will be sufficient for admission); orYou are currently enrolled in a foundation year program outside of the United States and have completed secondary school graduation requirements from your country as outlined in the International Qualifications Tool; orYour highest degree earned by the time you plan to enroll at NYU is either a certificate or diploma
