AAB
While no specific subjects are required, we prefer subjects which demonstrate a range of numerical, analytical and discursive abilities. These include: Biology, Business, Classical Civilisation, Chemistry, Economics, English Language/Literature, Geography, History, Languages, Law, Maths/Further Maths, Philosophy, Physics, Politics, Psychology, Religious Studies, and Sociology.
In some circumstances we may ask applicants to achieve specific grades in certain subjects.
Typical IB offer
35 (6,6,5 HL)
Typical BTEC offer
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma: DDD
BTEC Level 3 National Diploma: DD plus one A level at Grade A (the A level must be in a preferred academic subject)
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate: D plus two A levels at Grades AB (one A level must be in a preferred academic subject)
Preferred BTEC: Business, although other BTEC subjects may be considered on a case-by-case basis
GCSE
A minimum of 5 GCSE grades 9 - 6 (A*-B) including 6/B in English Language. Maths grade 5/C
Access Loughborough Contextual Offer
A level: BBB with no subject specific requirements but we do have a list of preferred A level subjects outlined above. We may ask applicants to achieve specific grades in certain subjects.
A level and BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate: BB and Distinction, including a preferred subject.
