Biomedical Science (with Foundation Year)

Build your knowledge of how the human body works and functions, get to understand things on a deeper level and investigate questions such as ‘How are diseases caused’ and ‘What tools can we use to understand symptoms’ Our Biomedical Science (with Foundation Year) starts with progressing your academic skills. Passing this foundation year leads to our Biomedical Science course, where you’ll gain the skills employers look for. These include lab techniques, data handling, computing, report writing, oral presentations, and teamwork. With accreditation from the Institute for Biomedical Science (IBMS), you can be confident that you’ll benefit from highly rated teaching that with completion of an IBMS Registration Training Portfolio will allow you to join the NHS Biomedical Scientist profession. Through their strong links with industry, your academic course team helps you to find valuable work experience. Better scientific understanding and diagnosis means better treatment for patients. That’s the difference we’re making to people’s lives.
