Advanced Manufacturing Technology: Instrumentation & Process Tech. Level 2 Certificate

The Advanced Manufacturing Technology: Instrumentation & Process Technology Level II Certificate prepares students for employment in the modern manufacturing environment which is increasingly dominated by robotics. With American manufacturers becoming more dependent on the use of high-tech equipment that involves multiple automated and integrated systems, it is crucial to recruit and employ individuals who know how to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain these complex systems. The student will learn about and work with electromechanical systems, motor control, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), pneumatics, robotics and automated manufacturing systems. Level II Certificate graduates are attractive to employers who implement productionmaintenance systems within the advanced manufacturing environment. Program graduates will be equipped with the technical skills needed to support engineers and other professionals engaged in developing, installing, calibrating, modifying, and maintaining robots, autonomous mobile robots, AGVs, and automated production lines. By the completion of this degree, students will be well prepared for the more challenging Industry 4.0 courses that are considered the future of Advanced Manufacturing.
