The Water and Wastewater Treatment Operations program is designed to provide you with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for a successful career in the water and wastewater industry.

This program, crafted by industry professionals, blends in-class theory with hands-on training to prepare you for the Alberta Water and Wastewater Operators (AWWOA) and Alberta Boiler and Safety Association (ABSA) Fourth-Class Power Engineering certifications

Completion of the following courses or equivalents:

At least 50% in English Language Arts 30-1, OR 50% in English Language Arts 30-2
At least 50% in Math 30-1, OR Pure Math 30, OR 60% in Math 30-2
At least 50% in Chemistry 30
At least 50% in Biology 20

SAIT accepts high school course equivalents for admission.

English language requirement:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6.0 in each skill/category

Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): 60 overall band

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 20 in each category

Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment (CLBA): A score of 8 in each section

Pearson Test of English (PTE): A minimum score of 53

Michigan English Test (MELAB): A minimum score of 51

Duolingo: 105 minimum
