Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology

The Geomatics Engineering Technology program offers practical skills and a comprehensive theoretical foundation in geomatics, enabling you to master the collection, analysis, and application of spatial data.

Through hands-on learning with graphic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), and remote sensing, you’ll learn to map and interpret the environment, supporting fields like urban planning and environmental monitoring.

Completion of the following courses or equivalents:

• At least 50% in Math 30-1 or Pure Math 30, or at least 70% in Math 30-2, AND,
• At least 50% in English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2, AND,
• At least 50% in Science 30 or Physics 20.

SAIT accepts high school course equivalents for admission.

English language requirement:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6.0 in each skill/category

Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): 60 overall band

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 20 in each category

Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment (CLBA): A score of 8 in each section

Pearson Test of English (PTE): A minimum score of 53

Michigan English Test (MELAB): A minimum score of 51

Duolingo: 105 minimum

English language requirement:

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 20 in each category

Pearson Test of English (PTE): A score of 53 in each section.
