You are embarking on an exciting foundation degree designed to advance your electronic engineering career by blending academic coursework with professional practice. By studying part-time while working or full-time, you can apply what you learn to solve practical industry problems. Delivery for part-time students will be on a day release. Software packages that you will use during your time are either available to you on dedicated University machines or under our educational licenses, so that you can use them at home. The curriculum covers key engineering topics like analogue and digital electronics, embedded systems, data communications, automation and control, and power systems. You’ll sharpen mathematical skills that are vital for engineering applications. Additionally, through a work-based project you will apply your existing and newly acquired skills to a practical challenge. Overall, the program will equip you with the knowledge, understanding and transferable skills to reach your professional goals in this fast-changing field.
