St. Clair College is a public community college established in 1967 and is home to more than 10,000 students across three unique campuses in Windsor and Chatham-Kent.
St. Clair's main Windsor campus offers students world-class amenities such as the newly constructed SportsPark, the GEM international student residence, Nexus Esports Arena, Zekelman Centre of Business & Information Technology and much more.
The Downtown campus offers stunning riverside views of the Detroit Skyline and access to many public parks and trails, along with all the amenities of the downtown core.
At the Chatham campus, students are given the opportunity to study at a smaller, tight-knit campus offering an active student campus life and unique study and recreational facilities. All of St. Clair's campuses are surrounded by beautiful waterfront landscapes, lakes, and rivers, with campuses based in the most southern part of Canada, close to the border with the USA.
The college offers over 100 programs of study in health sciences, information technology, community studies, engineering and business. Recently, St. Clair College has invested millions into on-campus development, including classroom and study spaces and recreational facilities for student use
St. Clair's graduates are highly employable, with 88.4 percent employed within six months of graduation. Students also stand out to employers, with 88.9 percent of employers stating they were satisfied with graduate's skills and knowledge level.
Providing a range of PGWP-eligible programs across these fields of study, students can earn certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas and bachelor's degrees at the undergraduate level as well as certificates at the postgraduate level. The college specializes in the areas of information technology, health sciences, community studies and skilled trades.
Offering programming across three campuses in two cities, St. Clair College has the campus to fit the needs of its diverse community of students. At the college's main campus in Windsor, programs are focused on community services, engineering technology, skilled trades and information technology.
The Downtown campus is home to the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts and the postgraduate programs in predictive data analytics and cybersecurity.
Chatham is a smaller, more intimate campus, home to the popular practical nursing, personal support worker and developmental services worker programs, as well as a one-year electrical techniques program.
Entry requirements differ depending on the course and level applied for, but there are set requirements for international applicants, including English proficiency.
The minimum English proficiency requirements (or equivalent) for programs at St. Clair College are:
Some Special Diploma programs (i.e. Pharmacy Technician, Practical Nursing) and the Honours Bachelor Degree programs have higher English requirements
Any applicant who doesn't not meet these scores may take the English Proficiency Test (CanTEST) when they arrive at the college. If they don't pass the CanTEST, applicants are eligible to join St. Clair's English for Academic Purposes—an accelerated program designed to improve academic writing, reading, listening, and speaking in English. After completing this pathway, students may proceed directly into their selected program.

St. Clair's College boasts several state-of-the-art academic facilities, including the Centre for Applied Health Sciences which features learning labs for 12 health science programs and the Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing (FCEM), which is one of the most technologically enriched learning environments in the world.
A 100,000 square foot facility, the FCEM features the same technology and equipment used in the industry and includes high-end CAD centres, precision metal cutting labs, high speed machining facilities and industrial automation labs.
In Chatham, the Mary Uniac building includes a new outdoor lab and teaching space, and the college's Downtown campus includes a 1,200-seat theatre and multiple ballrooms at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts, where performance and culinary students can hone their skills.

The SportsPlex and Healthplex facilities provide spaces where students can work out for free. They each house multiple gyms, elevated walking track, as well as 10,000 and 5,000 square foot fitness centres respectively.
The newly constructed SportsPark is also free, and includes a football/soccer field, a softball field, 4 outdoor beach volleyball courts, outdoor pickleball courts and a state-of-the-art tennis complex.
There are a variety of societies and clubs to choose from, including 15 varsity teams across a range of sports. The Saints Student Athletic Association provides sporting activities for individuals and teams, including competitions, tournaments, and day trips.
Each year, the St. Clair College Foundation awards more than CAD 900,000 in general scholarships to approximately 900 recipients. These awards provide students with the financial support they require to continue their studies, in addition to the intangible benefits of being a scholarship recipient.
In addition to St. Clair College scholarships, International students who require financial assistance can apply for the Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) scholarship.
In order to be eligible for funding, applicants must already have been admitted or enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution, and must also have achieved a score of at least 70 on the CAEL computer edition and submit an accompanying essay to the college for review. CAEL scores are accepted by more than 180 colleges and universities across Canada, and are released online within eight business days of testing.
There are also two CAD 4,000 scholarships offered by a leading English test provider: one for an international student currently studying in Canada, and another for one studying abroad. Additionally, there are four runner-up awards of CAD 500 each are available: two designated for international students in Canada and two for those studying overseas.
St. Clair College students excel when they hit the job market. 88.4 percent find employment within six months of graduating, according to Key Performance Indicators survey. This is higher than the average in the province, which is 85.8 percent. The college also rated higher than average in most categories.
Additionally, 88.9 per cent of employers of St. Clair College graduates were satisfied or very satisfied with their employees' overall college preparation for their type of work.
During their time at the college, and as part of the alumni network, students can receive support with their job searches and career paths. The Genesis Centre's career services officers provide a personalized approach to job strategies and relevant career development skills through one-on-one support, including resume assistance and interview coaching.
Career services at the Genesis Centre are available to all students for free to assist students in confidently pursuing their career goals. All students have access to an online job board of part-time and full-time employment opportunities. In addition to one-on-one support, the Genesis Centre offers in-person and virtual professional development workshops and seminars.
Career fairs and other employer events are hosted throughout the year to connect students with individuals in industry and provide students with opportunities to promote their skills and abilities to employers.
St. Clair College has recently unveiled many on-campus projects and improvements, including the new state-of-the-art Sportspark, the Zekelman Centre for Business & Information Technology and the Patti France Welcome Centre, a one-stop shop for all new students that includes the necessary departments of Registrar's Office, OneCard ID and International Development. Students can enjoy their studies in one of the recently renovated classrooms, or spend time outside of class at the new beach volleyball, pickleball, tennis facilities, or the on-campus swimming pool.
In addition to the GEM Residence at the South Campus, St. Clair College has entered into a partnership to offer an international student residence experience only minutes away from the Chatham campus. The Chatham Residence is a newly constructed residence facility exclusively occupied by St. Clair College international students.
St. Clair College has partnered with Unibuddy, a peer-to-peer communications company that allows prospective students to connect with current St. Clair College international students, who can share first-hand knowledge on their academics at St. Clair College as well as life in Windsor and the surrounding communities.
Through StudentVIP, St. Clair College offers some of the most comprehensive health care coverage in the country for international students. Enrolled students can enjoy the luxuries of the Canadian health care system for little to no cost in most cases, including extensive mental health coverage. In a unique pilot project, St. Clair College is now home to three virtual health clinics, where students can visit a registered Canadian health professional online using a special device and book appointments in minutes free of charge. St. Clair College international students are also provided access to immigration lawyers and legal services through BorderPass.
