The coterminal MA in International Policy (MIP) trains leaders who will influence policy in diplomacy, governance, cyber and international security, global health, and environmental policy. The MIP program combines a scholarly focus with practical training designed to prepare students for careers in public service and other settings where they can have an impact on international issues. This MIP coterminal degree is open to undergraduates in any major. Students complete their MA in a fifth or sixth year at Stanford. Students considering this option should be familiar with the University's coterminal degree policies and procedures and should consult the MIP staff early in their planning.
