Doctor of Philosophy in Exercise Science

Join an active community of scholarship and engage in a research-based exploration of the effects of exercise on human health, disease, and performance. In the Ph.D. program, you’ll work closely with exercise science faculty and collaborators on shared research interests in various dedicated laboratory facilities on campus, honing advanced skills in research design, methods, and statistics. Through research, you’ll create new knowledge to improve health policies, patient treatment plans, nutritional recommendations, athletic training, community interventions, and health access and equity initiatives.
